DIY Mixed Media Collage – Reader Featured Project
March 1, 2014 by 3 Comments
Today’s reader featured project is a lovely DIY Mixed Media Collage that was submitted by Victoria from Crafty Lady Too! To acheive this look , first she gessoad a canvas and collaged the background with colorful papers. She printed The Graphics Fairy’s Antique Paris Image -Eiffel Tower and Vintage Flower Fairy on her inkjet printer and adhered them to the canvas with gel medium. Victoria knew that the print would smear a little, so she applied hairspray to it to stop the smearing before putting the gel medium on top. She then used spackle to add texture and make the white dresses and painted them with white paint. She painted over the background with acrylic paints, then added ribbon for the belts and sparkles with rhinestones and Stickles.
She made two of these gorgeous collages…one for each of her grand-daughters! I know my daughter would treasure a gift like this! To view the full tutorials, head over to Victoria’s blog, Crafty Lady Too, HERE!
Gosh, this is so exciting, she has such a wonderful blog. I'm headed over now to check it all out! These works of he{art} are just gorgeous.
