Spring Flowers

The rain has stopped in Vancouver and the tulips are gorgeous.
The spring flowers inspired me to finish the water-colour I started in California.
My friend Jill showed me how she painted her beautiful flowers, and we had a fun afternoon.
I finished up my flowers today, but I'm not sure if I like the black ink outlines.
Do you think the flowers would be better without the outlines?

Happy Spring!

Loving Watercolour

Our water-colour group has been meeting every other week for a class, and it's been great fun.
We even tried portraits with another fantastic teacher, Pat Kodet.
Portraits were a real stretch for me.
But like anything else, if someone breaks it down into steps,it becomes doable.
This has encouraged me to try drawing, which I've never done before.

Here are the latest watercolours, not yet matted or framed.
Have a great day,

P.S.Karen from I am Rushmore is doing a postcard art swap on the fabulous Flutterbye blog. I signed up, and hope you'll join me. The blog has lots of free art classes and is free to join.
