Last day at the retreat

What a talented group of ladies at the retreat.
The collective energy was wonderful, here are some of their creations:

2nd day at Art Retreat

Today we concentrated on color.
We played with watercolor and added color to our sketches.

Sue from St. Louis, Cassie from Portland, Beth from Atlanta, and I went to a great restaurant, The Irish Table in Cannon Beach.Then enjoyed the gorgeous beach.

1st day at Alisa Burkes's retreat

What  a wonderful retreat! Alisa Burke is so sweet and so encouraging.
Twenty ladies are in the retreat, from all over the country.
We have had so much fun with walks on the beach, and the workshops.
Today Alisa concentrated on sketching.

You,Me, and the Sea Art Retreat

I was so excited when Alisa Burke announced she was going to host an art retreat in her new studio in Seaside Oregon.
I signed up right away.
Little did I know I would selling my house and renovating another one that month!
But I thought the retreat would be just what I needed to recharge my batteries.
I had done very little art in the last few months, so I could hardly wait.
Today I drove to Seaside, seven hours from Vancouver.
Alisa welcomed us to her gorgeous new studio to check in.
I met several of the wonderful ladies.
Sue, from St Louis, and Beth from Atlanta, are staying in the same motel as me, the Sandy Cove Inn.
It's a friendly hotel, two blocks from the beach.

My garden room is so cute.
