Two Watercolor Classes in One week!

I was thrilled last week when a few of my stamping friends asked me to join them for a watercolor florals class in Bellingham.
A lovely teacher, Suzie Beringer taught us how to make flowers with a waterbrush and simple strokes.
I really enjoyed the class at Stampadoodle, and hope to take more classes from her in the future.

The following day I left for California, and took a watercolor class with Sonya Ravet.

I was happy with the finished product, and thrilled to be painting again with friends!

Last day at the retreat

What a talented group of ladies at the retreat.
The collective energy was wonderful, here are some of their creations:

Alisa taught us that we didn't need expensive ingredients to make lovely art.
What a  great way to relax and recharge before my renovation!

Happy Mother's Day

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Even though I miss my mother, I feel so fortunate to have wonderful aunts, and my boyfriend's sweet mother in my life.
Today was a lovely day, brunch with the grandchildren.
My younger son called from school in Budapest, I was impressed because they don't have Mother's Day there.

I loved the card my granddaughter made for me with her beautiful handwriting.

This afternoon I painted two acrylic paintings on backgrounds I had done previously.
Funny, after working with watercolors, I seem to be using acrylics like watercolors.

Here are some virtual Mother's Day flowers for you, complements of my son:)

Happy Mother's Day everyone!
