Resin with Ryan

I took a resin class in Palm Desert. I loved it as I learned to coat my painings with resin.
Very drippy, and a bit smelly, but the clear finish adds a lot to the paintings.

Whirlwind Trip to See the Boys

Since I was living out of suitcases, I thought I might as well travel:)
Alan and I decided to take a quick trip to see our boys.
In two weeks we went to Brooklyn, New York to see Alan's sons, Adam and Seth.

We had wonderful walks and dinners.

Then we spent a week with my son, Trevor in Budapest.
The weather was 70* and gorgeous. We saw several movies and commercials being shot.
Of course we had lovely pastries everyday, and enjoyed their famous duck and sparkling wine.

On the way home we had a night in Helsinki , it was really cold 6* C!

Salon d Chocolate

One of the highlights of our trip, was the Salon du Chocolat in Paris.
Salon Du Chocolat
Fabulous fashion show with dresses made of chocolate.
An unbelievable amount of inventive chocolate samples, and products for sale.
I couldn't look at chocolate for a week after.

These were all hand painted by an artist to represent chocolate around the world.

Paris with Trevor

Trevor took 5 days off from studying to join me on a trip to Paris.
We stayed at this lovely hotel in Saint Germain on the left bank.

We loved the boulangerie down the street with the best quiche and cappuccinos.

Happy Thanksgiving from Budapest

To all my Canadian friends and family, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
It is a beautiful fall day here, and I love Trevor's apartment. It is modern and bright.
The view from his window and large deck:

It is in the centre of the city overlooking one of the most famous sites in Budapest, The Great Synagogue.

The actor Tony Curtis helped restore it to celebrate his Hungarian roots. He made this sculpture, the Tree of Life.

Today I'm going to walk around the area.
Silly me, I didn't bring my camera, just my iPhone!
I try to travel light, but this was just plain silly, I only forget important items:)
So far no jet lag!

I'm in London

Spent the day at London Heathrow, it 's a nice autumn day.
Lots of shops to browse, and had a relaxing massage.
I'm off to Budapest to see my son, Trevor, tonight.
Can't wait!
