Sonja was a marvellous teacher, and she made it relaxing for us newbies.
I had always heard that watercolor was difficult.
We were given a sketch as inspiration, and used just one colour of paint.
Daniel Smith's Moonglow, is so cool.
We washed water across the paper then the Moonglow flows into different shades.
The white of the watercolor paper looks like snow.
Here's my very first watercolor ever! I'll do better when I get the right brushes.
We're so lucky to have these classes available to try new techniques.
The cool thing with watercolor is if you make a mistake, you can wash it away:)
Wow, very nice!! I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI just saw, from visiting Kath's blog at PAperPumpkin that you have just started with watercolours. I have too. I thought it was funny that Kath and I had started at the same time.
Your picture is lovely. I too used just the one colour on my first attempt at water colouring.
I hope you enjoy using this medium - I have not made up my mind as to whether I like it yet...
