One of the highlights of my trip was being invited to an artist friend's home in Lake Balaton, an hour train ride from Budapest.
Judit Jancsco and I met on Facebook with our shared love of encaustic painting. Judit and her husband Steven, were incredible hosts, and I had a fantastic time. So much so, that I returned for a night before I left Budapest.
Lake Balaton, is the largest lake in Europe, and so beautiful. On my second trip, their lovely dog, Indiana Jones joined us, and the uber talented Judit showed me some of her encaustic techniques.
